If you buy powdered high-speed steel with poor smelting quality, it will still cause stringing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 A while back, two users asked me about this. They couldn\u2019t figure out why their 0.2 and 0.3 titanium sheets\u2014even though they were using ASP60\u2014started developing burrs after only about 10,000 stamped parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The reason is that the ASP60 you purchased was of very poor smelting quality\u2014it contained segregation issues and microcracks, which caused material adhesion and adhesive wear during the punching process, resulting in burrs. This type of adhesive wear has nothing to do with hardness levels; it\u2019s entirely related to the quality of the smelting process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 For stamping titanium, a die hardness of 64\u201366 HRC is already highly wear-resistant. PM23 also offers good resistance to chipping, so it\u2019s a safer choice for dies with narrow edges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
