Seeing the seven pieces of SKH51 high-speed stee<\/strong>l and DC53 hard steel ordered by a new customer in the workshop, and recalling the conversations I had with two customers yesterday and today, I\u2019ve become increasingly convinced that what mold steel users want isn\u2019t just a low price, but high-quality, reliable mold steel<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with consistent performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0The first was last night\u2014a customer who makes hot-forged nut dies. He had previously used 8566 steel from a fourth-tier supplier, but the die life was inconsistent, so he came to me. He bought a batch of\u00a08566 die steel<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0from me to use. After receiving the shipment yesterday, he tested the hardness and was very satisfied, so he called me right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 He said: \u201cThe second-grade 8566 I used to buy had hardness variations of 2\u20133 HRC even on the same surface, but with your 8566 die stee<\/strong>l, I tested 2\u20133 points on one surface and found the hardness difference was only 0.5 HRC. \u201cThis hardness is very consistent. Compared to the 2\u20133 HRC variation I had before, I feel the quality of your die steel is excellent. You must have a superior heat treatment process, and since it\u2019s six-sided forged, it has good density\u2014otherwise, the hardness wouldn\u2019t be this uniform.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Sometimes our customers can\u2019t articulate exactly what\u2019s better, but they can feel the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Another customer who had previously purchased my PM30 powdered high-speed steel<\/strong> came back today to praise me, saying, \u201cYour material is excellent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I replied that the trust customers place in me is both a blessing and a responsibility. I have a duty to ensure the quality of our mold stee<\/strong>l and maintain consistent performance\u2014I cannot let everyone down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The customer added, \u201cYes, there are just too many unscrupulous people and subpar materials out there these days.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 From these customers\u2019 words, you can tell that what they want isn\u2019t just a low price, but stable performance and high quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 It\u2019s no easy task for a factory to produce a set of molds. If the mold steel purchased has poor performance, the resulting molds will have inconsistent lifespans, requiring constant repairs and adjustments\u2014which is extremely frustrating. Not only is the mold-making process itself a hassle, but constantly having to take molds apart and put them back together wastes time and is exhausting. Many customers are deeply fed up with substandard mold steel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
