I’m pretty happy to hear the good news that the 8566 has increased mold life by 10 times.
Mr. Li said, “The last time I bought a piece of your 8566, it worked really well.”
I asked him, “How many products can the current 8566 stamp in one go?”
He replied, “The service life has increased 10-fold.”
Mr. Li’s mold is made of 4.0 hot-rolled steel plate, formed into blocks. Currently, he uses fourth-grade 8566 at 109 yuan per kilogram, and after 10,000 stamping cycles, the cutting edge chips and cracks.
Based on the 10-fold increase in service life Mr. Li mentioned, the current Yuhui 8566 should be able to withstand 100,000 stamping cycles.
It isn’t 10 times more expensive than the 109 yuan/kg “four-recycled” 8566, yet the die life is 10 times longer. When compared this way, the cheaper “four-recycled” 8566 actually ends up being the more expensive option.
Although we often receive positive feedback from customers, every time I hear it, I feel an inexplicable sense of joy and an urge to say a few words.
When it comes to punch chipping, using 8566 die steel makes all the difference—it’s like night and day—but the fourth-grade 8566 doesn’t deliver the same results.
