Mr. Lu said that the mold for injecting PVC soft rubber no longer rusts after using M316 mold steel. The mold has already injected more than 100000 products without any corrosion or rusting problems. It does not stop at night and the rust proof oil is fine. There were several times when the machine stopped working at night and had to continue working the next day. The workers forgot to apply anti rust oil, but it didn’t rust the next day. It was really useful.
And the other set of PVC soft rubber molds is not made of M316, and when the molds are opened, they are all rusted. Before we met you, we used S136 mold steel, which rusted severely and chrome plating was useless. A set of molds would be scrapped in a year, while their PVC molds around us would rust quickly and be scrapped every year, requiring daily repairs.
When injecting PVC, the mold will produce a large amount of chlorine gas, which can cause severe corrosion to the mold. Mold steel with a high carbon chromium ratio and strong corrosion and rust resistance must be used to resist the erosion of PVC.
S136 is a 4Cr13 air type stainless steel with a low carbon chromium ratio, and its corrosion and rust resistance performance is not yet able to resist the erosion of PVC, so the mold will rust.
M316 is a super stainless steel exclusive to Yuhui Mold Steel, with a chromium Cr content of 16% and a high carbon chromium ratio. The passivation layer on the mold surface has a high chromium Cr content, good stability, and will not be penetrated by corrosive media, thus achieving good corrosion and rust resistance. It also contains trace elements to further enhance the stability of the passivation layer. Even if PVC is injected with strong acid, the mold will not rust, and the mold will become brighter and brighter. The quenching hardness is HRC50-54, and it can be mirror polished to 10000-12000,
The rust problem that cannot be solved by S136 is solved by using M316 mold steel, which will never rust, even when injecting PVC. As Mr. Zhou from Zhuhai said, the mold becomes brighter the more it is made, and there is no need for electroplating. Guilao really likes it.
